Puppets
We flash open to the bright sun. The day is hot, almost sweltering heat. The camera pans down slowly to see a city. People in business suits are walking around mindlessly, going on with their day to day lives. We can see cars going around the streets and stopping at the traffic lights. An average day. What isn’t average is what is at the top of one of these buildings. The camera pans up to see David Manson standing leaning over the top of one of the buildings, staring at the streets with a smile on his face. The camera is to his right so we see the right side of his body and face.
David Manson:”Mindless puppets.”
Manson shakes his heads as he pushes his hair from his face.
David Manson:”This world is full of mindless puppets children. Look at those people down there walking around day to day doing the exact same thing they always do. Get up, get dressed, drink their coffee, get in their cars, go to work, go home, start all over the next day. Same old recycled cycle. They are a part of the system. They know no freedom. They walk around thinking they are free, but the man has taken control of them. They do not understand freedom. Much like my opponents this week.”
Manson turns to the camera with a smile spread across his face. He stares at the camera as he brushes his hair from his face again.
David Manson:”I mean look at my opponents this week children. I have a gaggle of misfits who believe themselves to be the next big thing when in reality they are no better than the next. Smoke and Jett are one in the same. Muscle heads trying to claim their stake at fame. Then we have Brandon Hate, his name explains himself. Brodasali is all bark, no bite. Thinks himself to be crazy. Ol’ Battlin’ Jack is just looking for a place to hang his hat. And then we have our dear old friend, Matthew Cories. Matthew dear boy, you need my help. You need to take my hand and join into what me and Jack are trying to deliver. You need to be saved, and we can do just that for you. Understand this child, there is always a path to righteousness through the help of others. That’s all we wanna’ do. We just want to help you. And at CyberSLAM, the only way to help you will be to take what you hold so dear.”
Manson cracks his neck and signals the belt around his waist.
David Manson:”That Hardcore Championship.”
Manson laughs as he turns to the streets again.
David Manson:”This week it’s simple children. Me and ol’ Jackie Boy have an easy task. While everyone else beats on eachother, we have ourselves an advantage. We don’t care about who holds that Championship.”
David turns back towards the camera, this time with a devilish grin across his face.
David Manson:”We simply care about taking it away from you Matthew.”
Manson laughs as he stretches his arms out to the sides and looks up to the sky. He begins singing, quietly and off tune.
David Manson:”Tiptoe through the window, By the window, that’s where I’ll be, Come tiptoe through the tulips with me!”
He lets out a final laugh as the camera pans back to the sun, blinding us before going back into darkness.
